Pet Peeve: when people are sanctimonious about how little TV they watch.
You know what? I work forty plus hours a week. If I want to kick back with a glass of wine (bottle of water), some cheese (goldfish), and a new episode of Lost (Sixteen and Pregnant), that’s my God-given right.
You don’t own a tv? Oh, how wonderful. You know, where I come from, that’s not intellectual and evolved, it’s poor.
Oh god, I know. The truth is those people are watching shitloads of TV, just on Hulu and not a television set. Hooray for you, spending 7 hours on your laptop in your dark room is way more evolved than having a TV. They probably play Second Life, too.
The funniest thing is my coworker who moved in with his fiance and got a TV and suddenly it’s like, Have you seen Ice Truckers, have you seen Cake Boss, have you seen iCarly? I’m not joking.
I don’t have cable, because I’m beyond broke. I watch tons of movies & television online though. Hulu is one of my best friends right now.
